When I was just starting out with fountain pens, different blogs had helped me to learn a lot, but there was never a central place to collect them. In the true collector’s spirit, I’ve listed and linked the ones I know. You can contact me to add or update the blogs here. I do not get anything in return for keeping this page, I simply love reading about fountain pens, and want to spread the love for new and old blogs.
While going through my Feedly list of followed pen blogs, I’ve come across so many that don’t write anymore and even some websites that have been completely taken down. With the fast, day-to-day nature of social media, the appreciation for longer form blogs seems to have decreased. I also understand that sometimes people stop hobbies or life gets in the way. Still, it’s a little sad. Let this page be a love letter to every single pen person that wants to start a blog. You are welcome and your blogs are enjoyed. Please write about what you think about this pen or that ink, maybe a pencil too. If nobody else does, I promise to read your blog.
Is there an order to the list? I don’t know. A rough alphebetical order that breaks down fruther you go. Enjoy the chaos!
2026 edit: I had stopped this project for a while, as it simply depressed me to see so many blogs I’ve read for years stopping. I might’ve accidentally let a fleeting ripple join them for a while too. I’m starting once again. Onwards!

A true passion project on mostly Japanese fountain pens that educates me every single time a new article pops up. I love the simplicity and information on this blog so much. I just have one question that I’ve been too shy to ask. Is Bruno Taut their name or a little homage to a great architect with the same name? I will never know.
With a blog name like that, it’s impossible not to love KC’s blog. Their stationery adventures are always super fun to read, but also their Project Enjoy Collection series is really calling me out on to start something similar. I will forever be jealous of their desk area that we get little glimpses to :)
One more blog that went silent around 2022. It’s a shame we don’t get updates anymore with a fun blog name like that.

I used to love this blog, they really got me started on tracking my pen and ink use. They went silent as well… Some links also appear to be broken, but I’ll leave it here for now.
Fudefan is pretty well-known in our circles, though I didn’t know that they had a blog in addition to their Youtube. Pretty cool to see!
All good things must come to an end, but that doesn’t mean that this is still an amazing resource to look pens up.
I really admire Joe’s writing style and approach. One day, I’ll make my way over the pond and visit the shop too!
